At the end of via Stamperia is a plaque bearing the words “In this house Cristoforo Beggiami Saviglianese founded the first printing works in Piedmont, this commemorative plaque was placed here by the council on the 16 June 1901”. It was here in 1470 that Cristoforo Beggiami printed the “Speculum Vitae” by Rodericus Sancius de Arvalo, the starting point of a successful business in printing.
